Hi, I am Susan Arnold. I lived most of my life in Hawkinsville, GA, and now I live in Monticello, GA.
I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. I did my undergraduate work at Wesleyan College in Macon, GA. I spent three years as a music major and eventually graduated with a BA in psychology.
I spent 25 years working for the state of Georgia as a social worker administering a program for people with mental retardation. I must say I learned more from them than I learned in college.

26 Years Ago, My First Kayak
I’m an ex-kayaker. It was absolutely a wonderful sport but I had always said that I wouldn’t die by drowning and after a couple of close calls I decided to quite paddling. I’d like to thank my friend, Richard Burnes, who taught me how to paddle and took me under his wing.
I used to play a lot of golf but I gave that up also. A bad back put that on hold. Maybe one day I’ll be able to play again.
I hope you enjoy my blog. I’ll try to keep it interesting. At least it will be interesting to me and I’m sure there are some folks out there who will like similar things.
